Choose the right club, most likely a pitching wedge, sand wedge or lob wedge, depending on your lie and shot situation
Play the ball forward for more height and open your stance
Pick a spot where you want the ball to land and visualize the shot before you hit it
The Three Stroke-Saving Tips
Double-check your grip pressure as you must hold the club lightly to increase your feel and allow your wrists to hinge on your backswing
Tempo is important, don't rush the change of direction from your backswing to downswing and almost fell as though the club is just dropping itself
Make sure you complete your follow through, approximately the same distance as your backswing for a regular pitch shot. Most players decelerate and end up chunking the ball.
