The Royal Golf and Country Club
The Royal Golf & Country Club, Bangkok, Thailand
Designed by Japanese architect Chohei Miyasawa, whose portfolio includes some of the more famous golf courses in Japan, Korea and Guam.
Rather expensive for a course without any of the bells and whistles but sport days between July and September make it reasonable.
Course conditions are excellent and there is a good combination of long, short, easy and challenging holes.
A small driving range and large putting green mean you can hit have a good warm up before you play and each hole gives you options from tee to green.
Caddies are quite well trained, the clubhouse is a bit ugly but the restaurant food and service is above average.
The only minus is that the tee boxes need a little levelling out, but overall a solid 8 out of 10.
